I heart

Bonsoir lovely readers,
i know it's a little late, but better late then never. While I was dreaming away on my holiday I also read some amazing books! Three of them are from the 'I heart ...' serie written by Lindsey Kelk. When I first came across these books I thought they were just another chicklit, nothing real special. So when I discoverd that my little sister had bought all three of them I laughed at her. But, while being there on the beach I got bored and so I picked up the first volume, 'I heart New York'.

And it totally blew me away, it was funny, lovely and so likable! I could relate to the main character, Angela Clark. She is a laugh, with a passion for fashion. So I couldn't wait for my sister to finish the second one, 'I heart Hollywood' and when I finished that one I started on the third, and currently, last one, 'I heart Paris'.
They're a fantastic and quick read, it felt like drowning myself into a brownie sugarcoated with a Chanel bag and Louboutins.

Curious what it's about? Hit the button below!

Tomorrow I'll search the city for a present for my upcoming give away! So keep posted!

Volume one, 'I heart New York'
I will type out the back of the book 'cause that's the best summary I can give without blurting out too much information!

'Fleeing her cheating boyfriend and clutching little more than a crumpeld bridesmaid dress, a pair of Louboutins and her passport, Angela jumps on a plane - destination NYC.
Holed up in a cute hotel room, Angela gets a New York makeover from her NBF Jenny and a whirlwind tour of the city that never sleeps. Before she knows it, Angela is dating two sexy guys. And, best of all, she gets to write about it in her new blog. But it's one telling readers about your romantic dillemmas, it's another figuring them out yourself...
Angela has fallen head over heels for the big apple, but does she heart New York more than home?'

I heart the book so much because it's about a girl who writes a blog, just like all of us, and the gives it a familiar feeling, also she is a total laugh 'cause she's hangover a little too much, too often.
My advise, just buy it and enjoy!

Volume two, 'I heart Hollywood'
Again I'll write out the summary on the back of the book.

'Sent to Hollywood to interview hot actor and fellow Brit James Jacobs, she's in at the deep end amid the thin and beautiful of Rodeo Drive. The only person who seems genuine is James, despite his ladykiller reputation. But then the paparazzi catch them together at Chateau Marmont, and Angela finds herself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons...
Can she convince her boss, her best friend and - most importantly - her boyfriend not to believe all they read in the papers? And will Hollywood ever win Angela's heart?'

Also a fantastic read. Fresh, new and exhilarating!
I think this one was the biggest laugh but sadly I can't reveal why 'cause then I'll be spoilling the whole book and that would be a shame. Get it or regret it!
Volume three, 'I heart Paris'
Back of the book.

'When Angela Clark's boyfriend suggest a trip to Paris at the same time as hip fashion mag Belle asks her to write a piece, she jumps at the chance.
But even as she's falling for the joie de vivre of Paris, someone's conspiring to sabotage her big break. And when she spots her boyfriend having a face-to-face with his ex in a local bar, Angela's dreams of Parisian passion start crashing around her.
With London and her old life just a train journey away, Angela can't decide if she should stay and face the music or run away home...'
When you've read the first two I can assure you, you'll be wanting more and 'I heart Paris' is again a light and fabulous read. This third one has a bit of a detective in it, 'cause someone is trying to break her while being in Paris so she'll fail her big break in de fashion magazine world. Also she's still blogging!

At the end of all three books you find a city guide to some of Angela's favourite places in New York, Hollywood and Paris. Including hotels, shops, restaurants and bars. A little extra!

I've got my fingers crossed and I'm hoping that there will be another 'I heart...' book 'cause I feel as if it isn't finished, and ofcourse I'm hooked! Give it a go and I'll know you'll love it!

I'm listening to Scouting for girls and still reading 'Me and Mr Darcy' by Alexandra Potter.
You should too!

Love,
Charlie
